If you experience excessive dryness of mouth and throat after using this drug, then keep yourself well hydrated with juices, shakes, and plenty of water.

Yes Otrivin can be taken with mometasone. Mometasone does not appear to interfere with the efficacy of Otrivin . Hence, it is alright to take them together. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking this drug do not hesitate to inform your doctor.

How long can I safely use Otrivin ?

Usually, Otrivin is used for short-term treatment (up to 7 days) of nasal congestion. You are advised use it as per your doctor's advice. Do not use it longer than prescribed by your doctor because it can cause rebound congestion.

Yes, Otrivin might cause a headache. It is a rare side effect of this drug. However, the exact cause of a headache is still unknown. If you experience a severe headache after taking this drug, take a mild painkiller, apply balm and take rest even after this if the pain does not subside then discuss with your doctor without any further delay.
