Hyq is a prescription medicine that is available as a Tablet. It is typically used for the treatment of Malaria.

Yes, long-term use of Hyq may cause weight loss but this occurs rarely. It is a rare side effect of Hyq. However, if you are experiencing unusual rapid weight loss and you are in doubt that Hyq is causing weight loss then discuss with your doctor instantly.
Oral tablet and suspension of Hyq should be taken by mouth 1 - 2 times in a day or as advised by your doctor. Ideally, Hyq has to be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. Precautions must be taken in patients with heart diseases.

Yes, Hyq is used to prevent and treat malaria caused by parasites (Plasmodium species). Hyq works by increasing pH in the acid vesicles of parasite which interferes in the parasite's ability to break down and digest hemoglobin. Malarial parasites need hemoglobin for growth and survival, this results in starvation and death of parasites. Hence in this way, it prevents us from malaria.
Yes, Hyq causes a headache but it occurs in a few cases only. It is a rare side effect of this drug. If you experience a severe headache after taking this drug, take a mild painkiller, apply balms and take rest. Even after that if the pain does not subside then discuss it with your doctor.
