Yes, Terbinadoc is safe to use, if taken in a prescribed amount for a specified time as advised by the doctor, however, few side effects are observed such as stomach discomfort, headache, and hypokalemia (low potassium).
Terbinadoc works by preventing the fungal infection to grow further. They inhibit cytochrome P450 enzyme 14- demethylase and block ergosterol synthesis. This action results in the destruction of cell membranes of the pathogen by limiting the growth of the fungus. Hence, in this way, it kills fungus and protect us from infection.
Terbinadoc and amoxicillin can be taken together, as there are no reported harmful interactions between them. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction could exist. Please take if prescribed by a doctor only do not self-medicate.
Occasionally, Terbinadoc causes constipation when it is taken orally, while the intervenous administration of the medication does not cause constipation or other stomach related issues.
