Zegecid is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Powder, Capsule, Suspension. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Acidity, Peptic Ulcer, GERD. The alternative uses of Zegecid have also been explained below.

Interaction between Alcohol and Zegecid
Consuming Zegecid with alcohol can have many serious effects on your body.
Rarely Zegecid causes stomach cancer. There has been no direct relationship to establish the fact. However, stomach cancer and other cancers may develop because of recurring acid reflux for a long time for example 7 - 8 years or more. If you feel any symptoms associated with cancer such as consistent low-grade fever, weight loss due to unexplained reasons, and pain in the abdomen. Do not hesitate to get it diagnosed by a physician.
Discontinuation of Zegecid on your own can cause harmful effects on your body. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor before discontinuing medicine on your own.
Yes, Zegecid can be taken with an antibiotic. Taking Zegecid with a certain antibiotic can treat H.Pylori associated stomach infection. However, it is best to consult your doctor before taking these two medicines together.
Yes, Zegecid can cause diarrhea. However, diarrhea could be a sign of contracted infection too. If you experience severe diarrhea after consuming this medicine, inform the doctor right away without further delay.
