Veltec is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is typically used for the treatment of Meniere's Disease, Vertigo. Other than this, Veltec has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.
The correct dosage of Veltec depends on the patient's age, gender, and medical history. Interaction between Alcohol and Veltec
Due to lack of research, nothing can be said about side effects of consuming alcohol while taking Veltec.
No, you can not buy Veltec over-the-counter. It is a prescription drug, without prescription of a healthcare practitioner, you can not buy directly from the pharmacy. It is for our own safety taking antibiotics without doctors advice can lead to unwanted side effects.
Veltec is an analogue of histamine whereas cinnarizine is an antihistamine. Theoretically analogue of histamine counteract with antihistamine hence should not be used together. No clinical trial suggest on the concurrent use of these two medicines together.
Occasionally, Veltec causes constipation. Constipation means three or fewer bowl in a week, in this case, stool become hard and dry and sometimes it is painful to pass. If you experience severe constipation after consuming this medicine, eat more fruit, vegetable, and grain which are higher in fibers. Also, drink plenty of water and take a laxative if necessary.
No, Veltec should not be taken with an antihistamine. It reduces the effects of antihistamine theoretically and also not work properly if taken together.
