Vbeta is a brand name for betahistine. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called antivertigo or betahistine analogue. It is available in a different dosage form such tablet, injection. It is commonly prescribed for balance disorders or prevents vertigo symptoms associated with Meniere's disease. It is also used to treat ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and hearing loss or hearing difficulty.
No, Vbeta does not increase blood pressure. In fact, it decreases the blood pressure due to its vasodilation (Dilate blood vessels) properties. It may cause dry mouth, diarrhea, nausea, and headache.
Vbeta can be taken orally or given by IM (Intramuscular). An oral form such tablet are taken 2 - 3 times daily preferably with a meal to avoid stomach upset. Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor.
