Ulsaton is a prescription drug, available for use as Capsule, Tablet. It is typically used for the treatment of Acidity, Peptic Ulcer, GERD. Other than this, Ulsaton has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

Interaction between Food and Ulsaton
You can take Ulsaton with food.
Interaction between Alcohol and Ulsaton
Consuming Ulsaton with alcohol can have many serious effects on your body.
Ulsaton works by blocking the action of proton pump inhibitor which is responsible for acid production in the stomach. By blocking the production of acid in the stomach it helps to relieve from acidity, heartburn, GERD, stomach ulcer and other acidity related stomach problems.
Ulsaton is used to treat acid-related stomach problem. If gas is produced in the stomach due to excess acid, then it can be given to reduce excess acid production. However, it is best to consult your doctor for the right medicines to treat excessive gas formation inside the stomach.
Take Ulsaton as long as your doctor has recommended you to take it. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Consult your doctor if there is no symptomatic relief.
This is because a long-term use of Ulsaton can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking [medicine] for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
Ulsaton should be taken 30 - 60 minute before meal. Preferably it should be taken once a day in the morning before breakfast. However, some people may require to take it twice in a day, in this case, 1 tablet should be taken in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening before meal. Please consult your doctor regarding the exact dosage regime of medicine and follow his/her instruction.
