However, it is reversible and the red blood cells production by red bone marrow is restored after discontinuation of this drug.
No, Tromycetin does not contain penicillin. It contains chloramphenicol which belongs to the class of drugs known as amphenicols. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic which covers a wide range of bacteria which are generally found to be resistant to penicillin.
