It is an ovulatory stimulant that belongs to the class of drug known as selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It is a prescription drug that is used for the treatment of female infertility (ovulatory dysfunction or failure) due to some medical condition such as polycystic ovary syndrome.
Trifol MF contains clomifene that is an ovulatory stimulant which works by stimulating the release of gonadotropin hormones such as luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormones (FSH) from the pituitary gland in the brain. This leads to maturation of ovarian follicle and increases the circulating level of estradiol (female sex hormone) which induces ovulation.
