Question almost 6 years ago

How does Trazodac work?

Dr. Kishan Barnwal MBBS , General Physician

Trazodac contains tramadol which is an opioid analgesic (pain-killer). It is presumed that tramadol provides relief from pain by binding to certain receptors (mu-opioid receptors) in our brain and by preventing the reuptake of chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) serotonin and norepinephrine. In this way Trazodac provides relief to the patient from moderate to severe pain.
