Yes, Sebifin is effectively used in the treatment of ringworm (tinea corporis). However, this is a prescribed drug do not take it on your own. Get yourself physically examined in case of severe patches.
Sebifin and amoxicillin can be taken together, as there are no reported harmful interactions between them. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction could exist. Please take if prescribed by a doctor only do not self-medicate.
No, Sebifin is not an antibacterial drug. It is an antifungal drug and used to treat fungal infections only.
Yes, Sebifin can sometimes affect the liver by increasing the secretion of liver enzymes which can damage the liver cells. Rare cases of serious hepatotoxicity (liver damage), including liver failure have been reported. Hence a routine liver function test should be conducted when taking this drug for a long time.
Sebifin can be taken orally and applied topically. An oral form such as tablet should be taken with or without food and avoid caffeine intake while on medicine. Duration and dose of the course will vary according to the severity of the antifungal infection.
