Yes, Ppr D has been reported to cause diarrhoea but this occurs in a few cases only. It is a common side effect of this medicine. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. If you are experiencing severe diarrhoea after taking this drug, discuss your doctor immediately without any further delay.
Ppr D contains domperidone (dopamine D2-receptor antagonist). It works by inhibiting the neurotransmitter dopamine (a chemical messenger present in our body) from acting on the vomiting center present in the brain thus preventing nausea and vomiting which provides relief to the patient from nausea and vomiting.
