No, Nosylate doesn't stop bleeding. It is used to reduce bleeding. During bleeding, clots are formed. Nosylate prevents these clots from dissolving and this reduces bleeding.
Nosylate stops the process of fibrinolysis during which the blood clots are broken, resulting in excessive bleeding. In this way, Nosylate reduces the blood loss from the body.
Yes, Nosylate may cause allergy in rare cases. The symptoms could be rash, itching, extreme dizziness, swelling of the tongue, throat, and face, difficulty in breathing, etc. If you experience any of these symptoms, discontinue using Nosylate and talk to your doctor immediately.
No, Nosylate does not causes bloating (swollen belly after eating food which might be caused by excessive gas production). It has not been reported by the patients who are taking it. If you are experiencing bloating after taking this medicine, then try eating less spicy and fibre rich food also try to eat food in less quantity at a time. Taking probiotics or digestive enzyme supplements might be helpful in reducing bloating.
Nosylate is the brand name for tranexamic acid. It belongs to class drugs known as antifibrinolytics. It is available in the form of injection and tablets.
