Neopred is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by stopping the production of proteins that bacteria need to survive. It is effective against different types of bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenza, Proteus species, S. aureus, and Serratia species. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is generally resistant.
