Nazome is a brand name of xylometazoline and it comes in form of nasal drops and nasal spray. It belongs to the class of drug known as an alpha-adrenergic agonist (sympathomimetic agent). It is an over the counter (OTC) drug that is used to provide relief from nasal congestion associated with common cold, hay fever, sinusitis, and allergic rhinitis.
Usually, Nazome is used for short-term treatment (up to 7 days) of nasal congestion. You are advised use it as per your doctor's advice. Do not use it longer than prescribed by your doctor because it can cause rebound congestion.
