Interaction between Alcohol and Metcom
Taking Metcom with alcohol can have severely harmful effects on your health.
Metcom should be taken with food to reduce stomach and bowel side effects, which may experience the first few weeks of treatment. Also, exercise regularly and test for sugar in your blood or urine as directed.
Metcom contain metformin, is an oral antidiabetic drug which belongs to the class of biguanide. It is the first-line medication for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, particularly in people who are overweight. It is also used in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome. Moreover, it also reduces the risk of cardiovascular complications of diabetes.
