Merocare is a brand name for Meropenem and available in injection form. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called carbapenem antibiotics. Merocare is a broad spectrum antibiotic, used for treating bacterial infections, such as pneumonia, lung and bronchial infections, meningitis, skin and abdominal (stomach area) infections.
Discontinuing Merocare in between may promote resistant to bacteria which result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the course even after getting symptomatic relief.
