Interaction between Food and Mahacip

Interaction between Alcohol and Mahacip
Consult your doctor before consuming alcohol while taking Mahacip as it can have severe side effects.
Mahacip should be taken with a meal. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Drinking extra water will help prevent some unwanted effects of this medicine. Do not take this medicine along with milk, yogurt, or other dairy products may reduce the absorption of a drug. Take it exactly as directed by the physician.
It is recommended to avoid taking Mahacip with azithromycin because it can cause problems. However, if your doctor has prescribed it to you take it as per his/her advice. In case you are experiencing breathing difficulties, palpitations and pain in the chest please inform your doctor immediately.
Yes, you can take Mahacip for UTI infection. It is the first-line drug for treating UTI infection. It is active against the bacteria which causes UTI infection. Do not take Mahacip along with dairy products such as milk or yogurt or calcium-containing foods. Dairy products may affect the absorption of the medicine directly affecting the efficacy of this drug. Hence, avoid taking Mahacip with calcium-rich foods.
Mahacip can increase the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture in some patient. However, the exact mechanism of tendon rupture is not known. If you suffer from tendon rupture or any kind of muscular pain after consuming this drug, please consult your doctor immediately.
