Kacimark Information

Kacimark is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Injection. It is primarily used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection. Secondary and off-label uses of Kacimark have also been mentioned below.

The right dosage of Kacimark depends on the age, gender, and medical history of the patient. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.

How does Kacimark work?

Kacimark is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by preventing the synthesis of proteins that bacteria need to survive, in the absence of protein synthesis bacteria become vulnerable and dies. It is effective against different types of bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Proteus species, S. aureus, Acinetobacter and Serratia species.
