Innorubicin, containing Epirubicin as the active ingredient, is an anthracycline chemotherapy drug. It is widely used in the treatment of various types of cancers. Epirubicin works by interfering with the DNA of cancer cells, thereby preventing their growth and multiplication.
Uses:
Epirubicin binds to the DNA of cancer cells, preventing the replication of genetic material. It also inhibits the enzyme topoisomerase II, causing DNA strand breaks and leading to cell death.
