Interaction between Alcohol and Domriv
Due to lack of research, there is no information about the side effects of taking Domriv with alcohol.
No, Domriv does not cause high blood sugar (hyperglycemia). It has not been reported by the patients who are taking it. You are advised to monitor your blood sugar level on daily basis. If you notice high blood sugar levels after taking this drug, then discuss it with your doctor who might change the dosage of your current medications.
Domriv contains domperidone (dopamine D2-receptor antagonist). It works by inhibiting the neurotransmitter dopamine (a chemical messenger present in our body) from acting on the vomiting center present in the brain thus preventing nausea and vomiting which provides relief to the patient from nausea and vomiting.
Take Domriv as directed by your doctor. Do not take this medicine longer than prescribed to avoid unpleasant side effects.
No, Domriv does not causes bloating (swollen belly after eating food which might be caused by excessive gas production). It has not been reported by the patients who are taking it.
