Dewroximo is a prescription medicine that is available as a Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection, Bronchitis, Urinary Tract Infection. Dewroximo also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.
The optimal dosage of Dewroximo is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.
Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Dewroximo as well, which are listed below. These side effects of Dewroximo are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.

Yes, Dewroximo can be taken for a cough, if it is associated with infection caused by bacteria. However, if a cough gets severe and does not subside after taking this drug. Do consult a doctor for the right treatment.
Dewroximo is a brand name for cefpodoxime. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called cephalosporins. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic, used for treating bacterial infections, such as bronchitis, gonorrhea, respiratory, ear, throat, and urinary tract infection.
Dewroximo works by inhibiting the growth of bacterial cell wall which is essential for the growth of bacteria. Hence, in this way, it prevents us from bacterial infection.
Dewroximo should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote bacterial resistance which results in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. Incase you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
Yes, Dewroximo can cause liver toxicity if taken in higher doses for a long time. You are advised to get regular liver function tests done to keep a check on proper liver functioning while taking this drug.
