Depran L works by relaxing the muscles of the body and suppressing abnormal activity of nerve cells in the brain through an increase in activity of a chemical messenger known as GABA. Thus, providing relief from sleeplessness and anxiety to the patient.
Yes, Depran L causes withdrawal symptoms when the drug is discontinued. These withdrawal symptoms can include new or worsening seizures, hallucinating (seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist), changes in behavior, sweating, uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body, stomach or muscle cramps, anxiety, or difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.
Depran L comes in form of a tablet and it should be taken by mouth once daily or as advised by your doctor. Precautions must be taken in patients with chronic pulmonary insufficiency, personality disorders, muscle weakness, impaired liver or kidney function. Do not drive any vehicle or operate machinery after taking this medicine as it can cause drowsiness or sedation.
