No, Avas D does not cause diabetes. It has not been reported to cause diabetes. However, Avas D might increase your blood sugar levels slightly. So, if you have diabetes keep a check on your blood sugar levels and in case of a sudden spike inform your doctor and take medicines accordingly.

Avas D is a brand name of atorvastatin which belongs to the class of drugs known as statins (dyslipidemic agents). It is a prescription drug that is used for the treatment of mixed dyslipidemia (high levels of lipids in the blood), hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol levels), and hypertriglyceridemia.
