5FU GLS 500mg Injection Information

5FU GLS contains Fluorouracil (5-FU), an antimetabolite and pyrimidine analog used in chemotherapy. It works by inhibiting DNA synthesis, primarily targeting rapidly dividing cancer cells.

  5. Squamous Cell Carcinomas of the Head and Neck

​Fluorouracil is metabolized to its active form, which inhibits thymidylate synthase, leading to disruption of DNA synthesis. It also incorporates into RNA, affecting RNA function and protein synthesis.

Onset of Action

Duration of Action
