Question about 6 years ago

How does Megalor work?

Dr. Braj Bhushan Ojha BAMS , Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Ayurveda, Sexology, Diabetology

Megalor contains silymarin which is a polyphenolic flavonoid obtained from plant milk thistle (Silybum marianum). It is presumed that Megalor works through multiple mechanisms. It prevents the formation of reactive oxygen species (free radicals) that damages the liver which affects its normal functioning. It also reduces the inflammation and stimulates the liver cells to produce proteins.
