Isofed Information

Isofed is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. Isofed also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Common side effects of Isofed include Dizziness, Drowsiness, Constipation. While these are the most often observed Isofed side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below.   • Disease: Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever)
  • Before or After Meal: Either
  • Single Maximum Dose: 1 Tablet
  • Dosage Form: Tablet

  • Frequency: 6 hourly
  • Course Duration: 7 days
  • Special Instructions: strength 60 mg pseudoephedrine and 2.5 mg triprolidine
2 - 12 years (Child)
  • Disease: Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever)
  • Before or After Meal: Either
  • Single Maximum Dose: 1 Tablet
  • Dosage Form: Tablet
  • Dosage Route: Oral
  • Frequency: 6 hourly
  • Course Duration: 7 days
  • Special Instructions: strength 60 mg pseudoephedrine and 2.5 mg triprolidine, recommended to 6 -12 years old patient and can take half tablet only

  • Is the use of Isofed safe for pregnant women?


    Isofed can have harmful effects in pregnant women. If you experience any discomfort after using Isofed, then discontinue the use and take your doctor's advice.

  • Is the use of Isofed safe during breastfeeding?


    Isofed can cause moderate side effects on breastfeeding women. If you feel its side effects, then stop taking this drug and consult your doctor. Take this medicine again only if your doctor advises to do so.

  • What is the effect of Isofed on the Kidneys?


    Very few cases of side effects of Isofed on kidney have been reported.

  • What is the effect of Isofed on the Liver?


    Isofed does not damage the liver.
