Nufil SF contains Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor (G-CSF), a medication used to stimulate the production of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell) in patients undergoing chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, or with chronic neutropenia. It helps reduce the risk of infection by boosting the immune system.
G-CSF binds to specific cell surface receptors on hematopoietic stem cells, stimulating the production, differentiation, and activation of neutrophils. This enhances the body’s defense against infections.
The effect on neutrophil counts is generally seen within 24 to 48 hours after administration.
The duration of action varies but typically lasts for several days after a single dose.
This is the usual dosage recommended in most common treatment cases. Please remember that every patient and their case is different, so the dosage can be different based on the disease, route of administration, patient's age and medical history.
