Chymozen is available in the form of a tablet to be taken orally, preferably half an hour before the meals. Since it has an enteric coating, it must be swallowed whole, do not crush or chew. One must take Chymozen as prescribed by the doctor.

Chymozen is a brand name for a complex containing trypsin and chymotrypsin. Chymotrypsin is a digestive enzyme which is produced by the pancreas. It is a proteolytic enzyme that breakdowns proteins. Chymozen is available as an oral preparation. It can also be consumed as an enzyme supplement for the treatment of various diseases. Chymotrypsin is available in combination with trypsin which is also a proteolytic enzyme. The combination is used for the treatment of tissue injury and alleviation of inflammation since the 1960's. The enzyme complex is also useful in digestive problems.

Yes, Chymozen has been found to be effective in sciatica patients as it reduces the inflammatory edema of the nerve roots. Sciatica refers to the pain that radiates from lower back to hips to buttocks to each leg. It is usually felt on one side of the body. One must find a best-suited sleeping position and stick to it every night, one must also sleep on a firm mattress, use a good neck pillow, wear a pain relieving patch to bed, and do some light stretching before sleeping.
