Obactin (Mer) is a prescription medicine that is available as a Syrup. Urinary Tract Infection, Ear Infection, Bacterial Infections are some of its major therapeutic uses. Obactin (Mer) also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Obactin (Mer). Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. This information has been provided in detail in the dosage section.

Apart from the aforementioned side effects, Obactin (Mer) can also lead to other problems, which have been listed below. Usually, these side effects of Obactin (Mer) go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

In addition, Obactin (Mer)'s effect is Moderate during pregnancy and Moderate for lactating mothers. In addition, Obactin (Mer)'s effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Obactin (Mer) related warnings section.

Obactin (Mer) is contraindicated in people with pre-existing medical conditions like Atrial Fibrillation, Heart Failure, Myasthenia Gravis (MG) as it can result in adverse effects. Other contraindications of Obactin (Mer) have been discussed in the sections ahead.
