Diovan is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of High BP.

The optimal dosage of Diovan is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.

While these are the most often observed Diovan side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Usually, these side effects of Diovan go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. Consult your doctor if these side effects become worse or stay for a longer duration.

It is also important to note that Diovan has a Severe effect for pregnant women and Severe effect on lactating mothers. In addition, Diovan's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Diovan related warnings section.

Individuals suffering from medical conditions like Bradycardia (Slow Heart Rate), Allergy, Hyperkalemia must refrain from the use of Diovan since this can cause severe adverse effects. Other contraindications of Diovan have been discussed in the sections ahead.
