Yes Taxim OF is used to treat typhoid fever. It is second-line treatment for typhoid fever. If other antibiotics are resistant to salmonella typhi then this drug is found to be very effective to give symptomatic relief during typhoid.
Taxim OF can be taken orally or intravenously. Medicine should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor.
