Xanurix contains febuxostat that belongs to the class of drugs known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors. Xanurix is a brand name of febuxostat and it comes in the form of a tablet. It is an antigout agent that belongs to the class of drugs known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors. It is a prescription drug that is used in the management of gout (arthritis that causes intense pain and redness in the joints due to deposition of uric acid crystals).
