Dizziness Due To Anemia During Periods
If women and girls feel dizzy or feel dizzy during menstruation, then the most important reason for this is the lack of blood in the body, which is called anemia. If your blood flow is average during menstruation, then every month 30 milliliters or about 2 teaspoons of blood comes out of your body. However, no one has the problem of anemia due to so much blood loss, but if someone is bleeding heavily (blood flow) during periods every month, then it is possible that the girl or woman may become anemic due to menstrual blood loss alone, that is, there is a lack of blood in her body.
When blood comes out of the body, it contains red blood cells (RBCs) and RBCs are the cells of the body that carry oxygen. Your brain is very sensitive to even the slightest change in the concentration of oxygen in the blood. In such a situation, when the brain feels a lack of oxygen, you start feeling dizzy. Anemia caused by iron deficiency is the most common type of anemia and it usually occurs when there is a lack of blood in the body due to very heavy bleeding during periods for a long time. If a girl or woman has anemia caused by iron deficiency, then they should take iron supplements during menstruation.

Dizziness During Periods Is Also Caused By These Reasons
Apart from anemia or lack of blood in the body, there are many other reasons due to which dizziness can occur during menstruation or periods:
Prostaglandins
Prostaglandins are a type of hormone that helps in keeping many processes of the body regular and one of these is your menstrual cycle. However, sometimes during periods, extra prostaglandins are produced, due to which your cramps during periods become more severe than normal days. Due to prostaglandins, contraction is felt in the muscles of the uterus. There are some prostaglandins due to which the blood vessels of the body start contracting. Due to this, you may feel headache and dizziness.
Cramps
During menstruation, contraction is felt in the uterus to remove the layer of blood that accumulates in the wall of the uterus and this is called cramps, due to which severe pain is felt in the stomach. These cramps can be mild, moderate and severe. Cramps are a normal part of the menstrual cycle, but if the cramps are very high and severe, then it can also be a sign of endometriosis disease. Dizziness can also occur due to the pain caused by such severe cramps.

Menstrual migraine
Among the women who suffer from migraine, about 60 percent are affected by menstrual migraine. Due to the decrease and increase in the level of estrogen hormone in the body, menstrual migraine can be felt before periods, during periods or even after periods. Like other migraines, menstrual migraine also causes a feeling of a very strong pounding in one side of the head, due to which one feels dizzy.
Lack of water in the body
Due to the changes in hormones during menstruation, the level of hydration in the body is also affected. In such a situation, due to hormones during periods, sometimes there can be a lack of water in the body (dehydration) and due to this also dizziness occurs many times.
Low blood sugar level (hypoglycemia)
Hormones also affect the blood sugar level in the body. Although most people have high blood sugar levels before and during menstruation, due to the increase and decrease in hormones, many women or girls may also have low blood sugar levels, which is called hypoglycemia. This is because estrogen can make you sensitive to insulin and due to this the sugar level decreases. People who already have diabetes may have more problems with hypoglycemia. This also causes dizziness during periods.
