Yes, Vomblock is safe to be used in children from 6 months to 12 years of age. Apart from preventing nausea and vomiting related to chemotherapy and radiation, Vomblock can be used in this population group for managing acute gastritis. Acute gastritis presents itself as a self-limited infection with vomiting leading to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. Always check with a child specialist and do not administer this drug yourself.
Vomblock is available in form of tablet, syrup, and injection. It should be taken as per your doctor's instructions. Ideally, Vomblock has to be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. The initial dose is usually taken half an hour before chemotherapy, 1 to 2 hours before radiation therapy and 1 hour before a surgery. Additional doses can be suggested by the doctor as per the individual requirements.
Yes, Vomblock can cause constipation. Some of the other side effects are a headache and dizziness. Constipation is a debilitating disorder which can be prevented by drinking a lot of water, eating more of fiber, exercising more, taking herbal laxatives, taking probiotic food, and avoiding dairy products.

PAS is a condition in which tremors of head, neck, trunk, shoulder, and extremities. It greatly reduces the quality of life of a patient since it causes discomfort and increases pain. It disturbs surgical care and increases the stress on cardiopulmonary functions. Hence as a precautionary measure, this medicine is administered to prevent unpleasant anesthetic effects.
