Tropenor is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Suspension, Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Diarrhoea, Dysentery, Amebiasis. Tropenor also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.
Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Tropenor. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. For detailed information on this, read through the dosage section.
Tropenor also has some side effects, the most common being Dizziness, Drowsiness, Sleepiness. While these are the most often observed Tropenor side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Normally, these side effects of Tropenor are not long lasting and go away when the treatment is finished. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.
Tropenor's effect during pregnancy is Moderate and Moderate while nursing. It is important to know if Tropenor has any effect on the kidney, liver and heart. Information on such adverse effects, if any, has been given in the Tropenor related warnings section.

Tropenor can have harmful effects in pregnant women. If you experience any discomfort after using Tropenor, then discontinue the use and take your doctor's advice.

Breastfeeding women may feel side effects of Tropenor. If you see any side effects, stop taking Tropenor immediately and talk to your doctor. Take Tropenor again, only after your doctor's advice.

Tropenor has very mild side effects on the kidneys.
What is the effect of Tropenor on the Liver?
Side effects of Tropenor rarely affect the liver.

Interaction between Food and Tropenor
Taking Tropenor with food does not harm your health.
Interaction between Alcohol and Tropenor
Consuming Tropenor with alcohol can have many serious effects on your body.
Tropenor and doxylamine can be taken together, as there are no reported harmful interactions between them. However, it doesn't mean that no interactions exist between them. Please take if prescribed by a doctor.
Tropenor used to treat several bacterial infections, like urinary tract infection (UTI), pneumonia, bone, and joint infection, endocarditis, gastroenteritis, otitis externa, prostatitis, anthrax, and bacterial infection of the eye. It is not effective for treating any viral infections such as cold, and flu.
Tropenor should be taken with a meal. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Drinking extra water will help prevent some unwanted effects of this medicine. Do not take this medicine along with milk, yogurt, or other dairy products may reduce the absorption of a drug. Take it exactly as directed by the physician.
Tropenor can be taken with tramadol. No harmful drug interactions have been reported between them. However, It doesn't mean that no interaction exists between these two medicines when taken together. If you feel any discomfort after taking the two together, inform your doctor immediately.
Do not take Tropenor along with dairy products such as milk or yogurt or calcium-containing foods. Dairy products may affect the absorption of the medicine directly affecting the efficacy of this drug. Hence, avoid taking Tropenor with calcium-rich foods.
