Yes, Staycool is given in combination with itopride. The combination is used for the management of gastro-esophageal reflux disorder (GERD).
Staycool should be taken for as long as it is prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it or take an extra dose on your own. Always follow the instructions of your doctor completely.
Rarely Staycool causes stomach cancer. There has been no direct relationship to establish the fact. However, stomach cancer and other cancers may develop because of recurring acid reflux for a long time for example 7 - 8 years or more. If you feel any symptoms associated with cancer such as consistent low-grade fever, weight loss due to unexplained reasons, and pain in the abdomen, do not hesitate to get it diagnosed by a physician.
No, Staycool does not cause kidney damage at recommended doses. However, in case of long-term use of Staycool along with improper kidney function, might cause kidney damage. If you experience discoloration of urine ( symptoms of kidney damage) then immediately inform to doctor and follow his/her instructions.
Staycool may cause allergy in rare instances. An allergic reaction might lead to swelling of the face, development of a rash, throat tightness and difficulty in breathing. If you develop any of these symptoms, talk to your doctor immediately. He may stop Staycool for a while and examine you properly.
