Romep works by blocking the action of proton pump inhibitor which is responsible for acid production in the stomach. By blocking the production of acid in the stomach it helps to relieve from acidity, heartburn, GERD, stomach ulcer and other acidity related stomach problems.
This is because a long-term use of Romep can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12.
