Interaction between Alcohol and Platfrin
Taking Platfrin with alcohol can have severely harmful effects on your health.
Platfrin primarily relieves pain because it is an analgesic. It also reduces inflammations (swellings) arising due to injuries and infections in the body. Apart from being an analgesic, it works by preventing strokes and other heart-related disorders by, the blood and reducing thromboxane (a chemical) responsible for making the platelets sticky. Hence by this action, it prevents blood clots which further prevents strokes and heart blockages.
There has been no established research which claims miscarriage after taking Platfrin during early pregnancy. Infact according to some reports low doses can be safely taken. However, it is best to check with your gynaecologist regarding dosage and right medication to be taken during pregnancy.
Ideally Platfrin is not prescribed by a doctor for a toothache. However, in the absence of painkillers such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen etc, aspirin can be taken to get instant relief from tooth pain. Generally, for treating toothache arising due to dental cavities and dental procedures ibuprofen along with antibiotics are recommended by dentists to reduce swelling and pain.
