Pancef O LB is a brand name for cefixime. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called cephalosporins. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic, used for treating bacterial infections, such as bronchitis, gonorrhea, respiratory, ear, throat, and urinary tract infection.
Pancef O LB works by inhibiting the growth of bacterial cell wall which is essential for the growth of bacteria. Hence, in this way, it prevents us from bacterial infection.
Discontinuing Pancef O LB in between may promote resistant to bacteria which result in relapse of infection.
