Obactin (Mer) is a prescription medicine that is available as a Syrup. Urinary Tract Infection, Ear Infection, Bacterial Infections are some of its major therapeutic uses. Obactin (Mer) also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Obactin can be taken with doxycycline. No drug-drug interactions are reported between them. Doxycyclin also does not affect the absorption of this drug. Yes, long-term use of Obactin can increase the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture in some people. However, the exact mechanism of tendon rupture is not known. If you suffer from tendon rupture or any kind of muscular pain after consuming this drug, please consult your doctor immediately.
