Yes, Hepmend is helpful in hepatic encephalopathy which is a brain disorder that causes a decline in the functioning of the brain due to the accumulation of ammonia caused by liver damage. Hepmend works by promoting the synthesis of glutamine in our body which is an amino acid that binds with ammonia, this binding results in the formation of a complex which is non-toxic in nature and easily removed from the body by kidneys in urine. Thus Hepmend helps in inactivation or detoxification and removal of these harmful excessive levels of ammonia which restores its balance in our body.
