Goxoi contains febuxostat that belongs to the class of drugs known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the xanthine oxidase enzyme which is responsible for uric acid production in our body that results in disruption in the biosynthesis of uric acid which helps in decreasing its abnormally high levels. The decreased levels of uric acid prevent the formation of uric acid crystals and calcium oxalate crystals.
