Feburol is a brand name of febuxostat and it comes in the form of a tablet. It is an antigout agent that belongs to the class of drugs known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors. It is a prescription drug that is used in the management of gout (arthritis that causes intense pain and redness in the joints due to deposition of uric acid crystals). Apart from the management of gout Feburol is sometimes also given for hyperuricemia (an excess of uric acid in the blood) which is caused by chemotherapy drugs.
