Dotarin is a brand name of drotaverine and it comes in the form of a tablet, injection, and oral suspension. It is a spasmolytic agent that has anti-spasmodic and analgesic (pain-killer) properties. It is a prescription drug that is used to provide relief from abdominal spasm, cramps, and menstrual pain. It is used in the treatment of functional bowel disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It also used to accelerate labor because it enhances cervical dilation.

How to take Dotarin?

Oral tablet and suspension of Dotarin should be taken by mouth three times daily or as advised by your doctor. Dotarin can be taken with or without food because food does not affect the absorption drug from the stomach.
