Yes, Cefurica can treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections which is an infection of the urinary system caused by bacteria Escherichia coli or Klebsiella pneumoniae. It works by preventing the cell wall synthesis in bacteria by binding to specific proteins (penicillin-binding proteins). The cell wall protects the bacteria from the environment, in the absence of this cell wall, the bacteria becomes vulnerable and dies.
