Avoid taking Cefistar with azithromycin, because it can cause a heart-related problems. However, if you are experiencing any unwanted effects after consuming these two medicines at the same time then consult your doctor and follow his/her instruction.
Discontinuing Cefistar in between may promote resistant to bacteria which result in relapse of infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief.
