Capcillin is a prescription medicine that is available as a Capsule. It is primarily used for the treatment of Sinusitis, Tonsillitis, Bronchitis. Capcillin also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.
The optimal dosage of Capcillin is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. For detailed information on this, read through the dosage section.

Capcillin does not help in preventing cold, because the common cold is a viral infection. However, the drug can be used in the treatment of cold, if it is associated with bacterial infection. You are recommended to consult your doctor for the best possible medicines to treat the common cold.
Yes, Capcillin can cause hair loss. It is rare side effects of this drug but its serious complication. If you experience hair loss after taking medicine contact your doctor right away.
Capcillin should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote resistant bacteria which result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 3 - 7-day course even after getting symptomatic relief. In case you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
