Interaction between Alcohol and Alis R
Due to lack of research, nothing can be said about side effects of consuming alcohol while taking Alis R.
Alis R is calcium channel blocker. It works by inhibiting the movement of calcium into vascular smooth muscle cells and cardiac cells which inhibits the contraction of cardiac muscle and vascular smooth muscle and reduce electrical conduction within heart cell and dilate blood vessel. Dilation of the blood vessel reduces the blood pressure.
Yes, Alis R can cause edema. It is the most common side effects of this drug. Usually swelling occurs in feet and ankle. If these effects cause troublesome, then consult your doctor regarding whether this effect arises due to amlodipine consumption or not. If yes, then you can stop taking this medicine with the help of doctor because of alternate treatment are also available. However, it is dose-related effects if taken a low dose, chances of edema are very less if consuming high dose the chances of edema are high.
No, Alis R is not harmful to a kidney. However, it can cause some urinary problem such as urine retention and difficulty in passing urine. Do not hesitate to inform your doctor if you are facing any of the above while taking this drug.
Yes, Alis R does cause hair loss in some cases. If you are experiencing hair loss with this drug discuss with your doctor. Your doctor may prescribe alternative medicines to prevent further hair loss and promote hair growth.
