Although there are no major disadvantages of Kadha, some things should be kept in mind-

  • Using too much ginger in Kadha can cause heartburn and upset stomach.
  • Ghee should be used in limited quantities in Kadha. Excessive amounts of ghee can cause indigestion, flatulence and burning sensation.
  • You should not take Kadha during fasting as it can cause nausea (vomiting) and stomach irritation.
  • Honey should also be used in limited quantities as it can increase body heat, resulting in discomfort.
  • In case of diabetic patients, the amount of sugar should be kept in mind.
